MediaTek (Hefei) Built a New R&D Base in

On
the April 8, 2015, MediaTek (Hefei) held a foundation-laying ceremony for
its new R&D base at Hefei Hi-tech Industry Development Zone. GM of Business
Division of MediaTek XieYouqing, GM of MediaTek (Hefei) Wang Hai attended the
ceremony. The Director of Administrative Committee of Hefei Hi-tech Industry
Development Zone Li Bing was invited to attend the ceremony and delivered a
speech, accompanied by other leaders from Hefei Hi-tech Industry Development
Zone.
During
Li Bing’s speech, he pointed out that “Hefei Hi-tech Industry Development Zone
dedicates to builda strong semiconductor industry by using Hefei’s comparative
advantages like defining industry environment and preferential policies. At
present, Hefei Hi-tech Industry Development Zone has gathered a batch of
leading IC design companies, including MediaTek, Autochip,Ingenic, China ElectronicsTechnology
Croup Cooperation Number 38&43 Institutes, Chiponeic, etc. MediaTek (Hefei)’s
R&D base is very important for Hefei Hi-tech Industry Development Zone and
will be the milestone for Hefei or even Anhui’s semiconductor industry. Hefei
Hi-tech Industry Development Zone will provide consistent support to MediaTek
and offer first class service and environment to help the new R&D base be builtearlier.
MediaTek
is founded at Taiwan in 1997 and Media (Hefei) is a subsidiary of
MediaTek(Hefei) which is founded in the July of 2003. MediaTek (Hefei)
dedicates on consumer electronics and software design. MediaTek invests about 300 million yuan in building the new R&D
base and plans to complete the construction in 2 years.
