Guest from Micron Visited Hefei On
the morning of July 23, 2015, Han Bing, the Member of the Standing Committee of
Hefei Municipal Committee of the CPC and Executive-vice Mayor of Hefei met with
Jason Lin, Director of Corporate Development of Micron Technology at Hefei
Civil Center. Chen Hua, Deputy Director of Hefei Hi-tech Industry Development
Zone and leaders from Hefei Development and Reform Commission and HFSID
attended the meeting. Han
Bing warmly welcomed the coming of Mr. Lin and introduced the long history and
recent year’s fast growing economy of Hefei to the guest. Han Bing stated that
IC industry is the strategic emerging and key developing industry for
Hefei and Hefei also is a suitable city to develop IC industry. Han Bing
pointed out that Hefei has a strong research capability owing to it has a
great many of universities and research institutions; besides, Hefei has
convenient transportation and strong supporting industries like household
appliances, automobile, flat-panel display and solar photovoltaic, which have a
huge demand for chips. Mr. Lin
introduced Micron’s performance in DRAM, Non Flash, Nor Flash and other markets
in recent years.
In the
afternoon, Mr. Lin paid a visit to the Industrial Innovation Zone of Hefei
Hi-tech Industry Development Zone and had a conversation with officers from
Hefei Hi-tech Industry Development Zone. Chen Hua briefed Mr. Lin on the
overall developing plan and developing situation of Hefei Hi-tech Industry
Development Zone. Furthermore, Chen Hua introduced the advantages of Hefei
Hi-tech Industry Development Zone including abundant land reserve, sufficient
electric power supply, good water resource, low employee turnover rate etc. in detail. Mr. Lin thanked Hefei
for hospitality and praised the good industry environment and supporting
facilities and policies of Hefei.
