On April 30, 2015, Silicon
Catalyst hosted the Silicon Sunrise Startup Event at Avaya Stadium, San
Jose, CA. President of Hefei Semiconductor Industry Development Co., Ltd Tao
Hong and 700 other attendees from leading semiconductor, EDAand financial sectors
attended the event.
At the event, Silicon
Catalyst announced its first three start-ups: ACP Semi, zGlue and BuzzTagg, which are working on low-cost
power chips, 2.5-D stacks and Bluetooth ID tags respectively. Besides, Silicon
Catalyst also announced its new corporate partners i.e. Advantest, PDF
Solutions and Autodesk and new sponsors: Alix Partners, Jack B. Keenan, Inc.
Lonergan Partners and the Global Semiconductor Alliance to the public.
Silicon Catalyst is the
industry’s first incubator for semiconductor solution start-ups in the world.
Silicon Catalyst dedicates to address the challenges faced by start-ups when
going from idea to company formation to prototype, along with the industry-wide
concern about the lack of fund-worthy start-ups to drive novel innovation and
growth.
