Hefei Held the IC Industry High-level Round Table Conference

On October 9, 2013, Hefei IC Industry High-level Round Table
Conference was held by Hefei municipal government at the civic center. Vice
Mayor of Hefei Wu Jianguo hosted the conference. Executive Vice Mayor Han Bing and
Director of National Science and Technology Major Project and concurrently
President of Chinese Semiconductor Industry Association IC Design Branch Wei
Shaojun delivered speeches respectively. Experts and enterprisers form the IC
industry attended the conference and communicated and discussed around topics
i.e. opportunities, challenges, prospect of Chinese IC industry and the current
situation and development ideas of Hefei’s IC industry. The President of HFSID Tao
Hong gave a report about the status quo of Hefei’s IC industry on the behalf of
Hefei Municipal.
After the round table meeting, Secretary of Hefei
Municipal Committee of the CPC Wu Cunrong met with Wei Shaojun, accompanied by
Secretary-General of Hefei Municipal Committee of the CPC and Wu Jianguo. Wu
Cunrong warmly welcomed Wei Shaojun and introduced Hefei to Wei. Wu Cunrong
stated that Hefei plans to build 3 or 5 special 8-inch or 12-inch wafer
production lines and attract30 IC design companies in 10 years; Hefei aims to
be the Top 5 city of IC industry in China. Wu Cunrong stated that Hefei will consistently
provide good service to welcome new companies to invest in Hefei.
